Julia Petroff

I am a French painter and drawer.

My practice is articulated between painting and illustration, in a research of composition where the choice of the colors is essential.

The figurative subject becomes a pretext, a starting point on which my colors are built .

This work of composition wears out the motif , transforms it without ever making it disappear.

ACTS – Alvaro Caleca

ACTS

Text by Bohdan Stupak

Edson Fernandes

Born and raised in Brazil, Edson Fernandes grew up in the small town of Uberaba, north of San Paulo.

One of eleven brothers and sisters, Fernandes often kept to himself, leading him to begin dancing and drawing from a young age.

Fascinated by literature, Fernandes would spend much of his time reading, eventually teaching himself French, English and Spanish, along with Portuguese, his mother tongue.

Dedicating many of his years to classical dance, Fernandes moved onwards to contemporary dance and painting.

Today aside from creating his own works, he also teaches dance and painting, to those interested in his hometown.
